Month and a half old baby budgie, help!?

I just bought a baby budgie bird about a month and a half old. I'm still syringe feeding it every 3-4 hours and I gave him fresh veggies and seeds. What else should I do and how long should I keep syringe feeding? When should he start eating regular food? Thanks!
