Great mystery authors with romance in them?

My absolute favorite mystery novels are written by M. M. Kaye, and they are called the "Death In..." series. These books are each centered around a different young woman each time, and how she ends up solving the mystery after being un-expectedly mixed up in it. But the POINT of each of these books is that she falls in love along the way. Does anyone know of any other murder mystery writers, besides the occasional Agatha Christie, that involves romance?? Author suggestions and even your favorite books by them are appreciated.
