Is it true that in order to lose weight, the biggest meal of the day should be breakfast?

I'd really like a view from someone who really knows about this stuff. I also hear that you should eat like 6 small meals a day...can someone give some ideas of what i can have rather that fruits and veggies because I already know that. PS when i have veggies its hard to want to eat them without dressing...what dressing can i make easily that can help me lose some weight. thanks
